One of the things that we love about being a part of the IdeaTeam is that we get to be creative problem solvers.
A little while ago Sarnia Transit came to us with a need: they wanted to find a way to get elementary school kids excited (and educated) about using the public transit system. We met as a team and "webstormed" over some different strategies.
When we got back together with our client, we proposed creating an interactive video game. The game would have an educational component to it that would reinforce both the practical aspects as well as the "green" aspects of public transit. In order to grab the kids' attention and get "buy in" there would also have to be lots of colourful graphics, interactivity and fun.
After a year's worth of developing and countless hours of design, we unveiled SarniaGoesGreen to three different schools, to rave reviews--the kids loved it! Not only that, they were able to learn exactly what the good folks at Transit wanted them to!
