Need help transferring your files to your new PC. We can help!

There is no one thing about EBTech that is better than the other. Everything about EBTech ROCKS! But, if I did have to choose, I would have to say that the friendliness and courtesy of all of the EBTech employees is what makes EBTech the best ISP in the Sarnia and surrounding area.

PC Ready

Since most people don't buy new computers more than once every four or five years, we thought that we'd give you a few tips on what to expect.

Most of the Big Box Electronic stores will sell you a computer at a great price. Things are pretty competitive in this market. What you have to watch out for is what happens AFTER the sale.

After you have purchased your new computer, your salesperson will offer to "configure" it for you. This means that he will set it up so that it recognizes all of its peripherals. It will know what printer is hooked up to it, what DVD drive has been installed, what monitor it is using etc. The price to do this is usually $80-$100.

What they don't tell you is that after you take your computer home, spend a half a day setting it up yourself, you still have some issues to deal with-namely "bloatware".

Bloatware is what you call programs that the manufacturer loads into computers as they make them and before they ship them out to retailers. You'll notice that you may have a free version of McAfee Virus Protection (for 90 days), a free version of Norton Anti-Virus (for 90 days), free games (for a limited time), free this, free that etc.

You may think that free is good and usually it is. However, you will immediately discover that these "free for a while" programs will constantly send you annoying pop-ups, telling you that you should buy the real version for only $X! Not only that, but lots of the free programs that now populate your new computer take up space on your hard drive and slow-your-computer-down by consuming memory, especially when you start it up.

So instead of going through the hassle of buying a computer to go through the hassle of setting it up to go through the hassle of annoying pop-ups, simply bring your new computer to us.

We will configure it, just like the guys at the Big Box Stores.
There are three things that we do that they won't:

  • We will remove all the bloatware that will annoy you in seconds flat and slow your computer down.
  • We will set up your computer for you in your own home and get it connected online if you have internet service.
  • We will teach you how to use Windows 7,
the new operating system that is in ALL the new PCs.
(ask for details about our incredible new Windows 7 class)
  • We do that ALL for only $79.95!

Avoid frustration and confusion today.

Call Roberta at 519-332-8235 and tell her you want our PC Ready deal! You'll be glad that you did!
